Request For Quotation - RFQ
Request for Quotation (RFQ) is a document that is prepared by a manufacturer, a carrier or a company that finds the needs of a company and solicits a response for quotation for specific equipment and services that are specifically defined in the RFQ. The terms RFQ and RFP are often confused. The purpose of a RFQ is to receive a financial proposal on a specific product or service where as an RFP is used to first gather information that may be used to better define the product or service before purchasing products and/or services.
